A one man band...

I decided to included this page in order to let you know a little about myself and how I operate. This will hopefully convince you to use my services for creating a unique website for you.
First off, the heading says it all, a one man band. I work alone, so you are guaranteed my personal attention at all times. I will not take on extra work if I know I can’t fit it in with my schedule, and will do my utmost to meet promised completion dates.

One thing you can be sure of is that you wont be fobbed off with excuses about your site being held up by ‘another department’. You wont be passed on to different people to get answers to your queries, or wait on the end of a phone listening to piped music while the person at the other end tries to find out who is dealing with your order.

If you've seen the examples of my work (including this site) you will see that I am capable of creating an eye catching site at a reasonable price.
If you are running a business, a club, or other organization I can give you the site you require, while looking out for your budget. As long as you let me know what you need, and supply me the content, I’ll have you up and running just the same as any large company.

Any information supplied by you to me will be kept strictly confidential and will not knowingly be passed on to any other individual or organization for any reason. This includes E-mail addresses.
The data will only be held by me for as long as necessary to complete your order and no further contact will be initiated by StatSite Web Design.
In the event that you wish to hire my services for maintaining and updating your website periodically, your personal data may have to be retained for as long as necessary to complete the modifications. In this case, the above statement will still apply.
I do not pass on any personal or business details to any third party without your express permission.

A deposit of 33% of the total cost is required in advance. The balance will be due on completion. You will at anytime be able to view progress online from your own PC and instruct me to make any changes you require.
If you wish to retain me for updates at regular intervals you will be invoiced for these as they are completed. Further updates will not be started until payment for the previous one has been received.
I will take no part in the creation of any website containing illegal, pornographic, or content I consider to be of a dubious or fraudulent nature.
All work remains the copyright of StatSite until paid for in full, when the copyright will be passed over to you.

A word about security...

While creating your website I do all testing on my own web space. It will be necessary however, for me to be aware of your password and user name to access your web space when transferring the completed site to your domain via FTP (file Transfer Protocol).There is, unfortunately, no way around this and therefore an element of trust is involved. As soon as you have the site published to your own domain it is a simple process to change these passwords to prevent any unauthorised access. If you require me to do any more work on the site after that, you can simply revert back to the old ones until updates are complete.
Any secure data passed to me will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed by me. The onus then lies with you the customer to make any necessary changes to security settings.
